Twenty-eight action sports athletes from across South Africa will descend on Sun City in September this year for the first big BMX and skateboard festival since 2019, thanks to Suzuki Auto South Africa.
The 14th iteration of the famous Ult.X Festival is scheduled for 3 – 5 September in Sun City and Pilanesberg, where organisers will turn the bushveld into a spectacular backdrop for these two action sports. It will potentially host 500 guests at the resort, while the rest of Mzansi and the world can watch from the comfort of their homes on the web and on social media.

The Ult.X festival will include live music with special appearances by the artists Jack Parow and DJ Speedsta, a golfing eXperience and other entertainment for the guests at Sun City. The highlight, however, is the African BMX and Skateboarding Championships, which will see pro-athletes like the skateboarder Khule Ngubane in action.
Both sports rank among the fastest-growing action sports in South Africa and the world. They both now form part of the Olympic Games and this African BMX and Skateboarding festival will be the first local appearance after the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (taking place this year). It will also be the qualifier for next year’s Ult.X Flagship Event.
