| Autosure Service Plan |
|
Benefits:
-
Available on New and Used cars -
Your service plan entitles you to cover for 2-Years or 60, 000km, whichever occurs first. -
Current Kilometres are recorded and the plan is from that mileage onwards. Example – if you have 50 000 km on your car currently – this plan will take you to 110 000 km -
There is no sliding scale of benefits; all vehicles qualify for the same service benefit. -
In the event of a service, the maximum amount payable in any one instance is R1, 500.00 (One Thousand Five Hundred Rand) VAT INCLUSIVE. This service plan only covers factory specified service components, no additional client requested servicing will be honoured. -
Your service plan includes a roll-forward option. If the total cost of service is less than R1, 500.00, the difference in amounts between the benefit limit and the actual cost of service will accumulate towards your next service. For example, your first service under this service plan comes to R650.00. The difference in amounts between R1, 500.00 and R650.00, being R850.00, will roll forward. For your second service, you will then be entitled to a maximum of R2, 350.00. This roll forward option is effective throughout the duration of your service plan. However, please be warned that you may NOT request that the dealer omit service components in order to obtain a better roll forward value. All servicing must be carried out according to the factory specified service schedules. -
At the end of your service plan, should you have not claimed your full service benefit and have a roll forward balance available, 65% of this roll-forward balance will be paid out to you.
Procedure and the Conditions:
-
On the happening of any event that may result in a claim under this agreement, the client must as soon as reasonable possible, and at their own expense, comply with the following procedures:
-
Check to make certain the required work is covered. -
Contact the Claims Department of the Administrator and within seven (7) days forward any detail that is required by them via post or email. -
Provide the Claims Department with the policy number (located on the Certificate of Agreement), the nature of the breakdown, the kilometre reading of the vehicle, and the address where the vehicle may be inspected.
-
If the claim is accepted by the administrator on behalf of the company, an order number will be issued by them to the servicing dealer. This order will be for an amount covering the covered service up to the specific limit as shown on the applicable Benefits Schedule. -
Any amount in excess of this amount included in the order or any amount for parts not covered by agreement must be paid by the client. -
While the company may have issued an order for the repair of the vehicle, neither the company nor the administrator accept any responsibility or liability for faults in either the workmanship performed, the parts supplied, or both. Payment -
Payment is made upfront by way of cash or card

Limits of indemnity
The benefit category that applies to you is determined by the age and mileage of your vehicle at the time of application. In determining the age of a vehicle, the first counted year is the year in which the vehicle was registered, and thereafter each consecutive year is added.
For example, a 2007 model car bought in 2009 is considered to be three (3) years old, as the years counted will be: 2007, 2008, and 2009.
How the Benefits Table works:
First, determine the benefit category that is applicable to you, according to the above example and the benefit descriptions as below. Then, find the applicable component group in the table. For details regarding what is covered under each component group, refer to the Insured Parts list.
Benefit Descriptions:
-
Benefit 1: Shall apply to new vehicles and of the current year model, which have travelled less than 80,000km at the time of application. -
